Getting Started with Rhombus:
Step 1: Account Setup
Firstly, you need to log into your Rhombus Console. Visit our website at www.rhombus.com
and select "Console Sign In" in the top right corner. If you have not received your Welcome Email, please get in touch with our support team at firstname.lastname@example.org
Step 2: Assign Enterprise licenses and Batch Assign Features if applicable
To enable Enterprise Licenses on multiple cameras at once, navigate to License & Features
In the License Summary section, click the blue 'Manage' button. Once a popup appears, you can then select cameras to be applied for this license by location or one by one by clicking the checkboxes on the right side. When done, click the 'Assign' button to complete the enterprise assignment process!
Once the Enterprise License has been enabled, you can enable AI Features and 30-day included Cloud Archiving. Select the top check on the left-hand side or each checkbox next to the camera's name. From here, select "Batch Assign," and a pop window will appear, allowing you to enable features included with the Enterprise License.
Step 3: Creating Locations and Batch Assigning Devices
Many companies have multiple locations with multiple cameras at each location. As an administrator, you have several tools to help you manage each one of those locations. Navigate to the "Locations" tab -> select "Add Location" -> a "Create Location" window will appear. Fill in the location "Name" and "Address" and select "Save".
You can assign multiple cameras to a single location in the console by completing the following steps: Navigate to the devices page -> Select the cameras you wish to batch assign to a location -> Select "Actions" Dropdown menu -> Click assign to the location
Step 4: Creating User Roles
To set up a new role, login to the Rhombus Console and navigate to Settings -> Manage Roles. Next, select "Add Role" in the upper right-hand corner, and a window will appear to create the role. Enter the name for this role and click next in the bottom right corner. The following screen allows you to select specific permissions for administrative actions to which the role will have access. The final step is selecting which locations and which devices within those locations this role will have access to. Once complete, hit "Create Role" at the bottom of the screen.
Step 5: Adding New User
To add a user, navigate to Settings -> Manage Users. Next, click "Add User" in the upper right corner. Once clicked, a pop-up will appear. Enter the new user's name and email address to complete the form. Select the user's role by clicking the drop-down menu and choosing one of the options. Click "Create" in the bottom right when finished. When a new user is created, a Welcome Email will be sent to their email address with instructions on creating a Rhombus user account.
