In this article, we will discuss how to use the timeline:
- What is the Timeline
- How to use the Timeline
- Zoom In/Out of Timeline
- Searching for Time/Date on Timeline
What is the Timeline
The timeline can be found at the bottom of a camera's Field of View. The timeline allows you to search through past footage, search for events, and create clips. The timeline will record all the events captured by the camera. These events will be colored coordinated with a legend on the bottom stating the event type.
How to use the Timeline
If you would like to search through footage, you can click on the arrows highlighted in red below. This will allow you to look through past footage. The arrows will jump you either forward or backward in time, in intervals based on how zoomed into the timeline you are.
Zoom In/Out of Timeline
If you would like to zoom into the timeline to get a more granular look at the events picked up by the camera, you would click on the icon with arrows pointed at each other highlighted in red below. If you want to zoom out, you can do so by clicking on the arrows facing opposite each other.
Searching for Time/Date on Timeline
If you are searching for an event and know the exact time/date it happened, you can input that information. On the right-hand side of the timeline, you will see a calendar and clock icon highlighted below in red. Again, you can input the time/date of this event, and the timeline will jump to that footage.
