Overview
Footage from Rhombus devices can be saved and shared with others who don't have a Rhombus account or access to your console. This article covers how to save, share, and delete clips within the Rhombus Console.
Save a Video Clip
Notes:
- The length of a clip is limited to one hour. The longer the clip, the longer it will take to generate. If you need to create a clip that is longer than one hour, contact support.
- Saving clips requires the footage to be uploaded from the camera to the server. If bandwidth is too low, this can cause clip generation to be heavily delayed or prevent clip completion.
Web Console
| 1. Navigate to the "Devices" tab and select the camera from which you wish to save a clip. |

| 2. Click the scissors below the video feed. |
|
|
| 3. Select the date and time range for which you wish to save footage, and click "Save Clip." |
|
|
|
4. Name the clip, provide an optional clip description, select the level of visibility for the clip, and click "Save." Note: If you are using the Pimloc integration, a separate redacted clip can be generated here. |

|
| 5. Navigate to the "Saved Video" tab and select "Saved Clips" to view, delete, download, or share any saved clips that have been created. |
Mobile App
| 1. Open the Rhombus mobile app and tap "Cameras." |
|
|
| 2. Select the camera for which you wish to save a clip. |
|
|
| 3. Navigate to a specific date and time using the calendar icon. |
|
|
| 4. Tap the scissors icon. |
|
|
| 5. A box with a dotted blue line will appear. Drag the top and bottom of the box to create the timeframe for the desired saved clip. Tap "Save Clip." |

| 6. Name the clip and provide an optional description if desired. Click "Save." |
Note: When saving a clip for an R360 camera on the mobile app, the downloaded clip will default to fisheye.
Share a Video Clip
Share via Console
| 1. Navigate to "Saved Video" and select the "Clips" tab. |
|
|
| 2. Click the checkbox beside the clip you wish to share, click the "Actions" dropdown menu, and click "Share." |
|
|
| 3. Fill in the prompted fields. For an added layer of security, add an optional password and/or expiration date, and click "Create." |
|
|
| 4. Enter email addresses or phone numbers separated by commas or spaces and click "Send," or use the copy icon to copy the link for the shared clip. Click "Done" when finished. |
Share via Mobile App
| 1. Tap "Menu," then tap "Saved Video." |
|
|
| 2. In the "Saved" tab, tap the clip you wish to share. |
|
|
| 3. Tap "Share Clip." |
|
|
| 4. Fill in the desired fields and tap "Share." |
|
|
| 5. Manage and view your shares by selecting the "Shared Tab." |
Delete a Clip
Delete via Console
| 1. Navigate to "Saved Video" and select the "Clips" tab. |

|
| 2. Select the clip(s) you wish to delete, click the "Actions" dropdown menu, and click "Delete." |
|
|
| 3. Click "Delete" to confirm the deletion. |
Delete via Mobile App
| 1. Tap "Menu" and select "Saved Video." |
|
|
| 2. Swipe left on the clip you wish to delete, and tap "Delete." |
