Overview
The Rhombus Console can be accessed via the web console and the mobile app (for iOS or Android). This article covers how to use the mobile app as well as its available features.
Tabs
Devices
Upon logging in to the mobile app, you will land on the "Devices" tab. This page serves as a hub for accessing all devices registered to your account. Each device page provides visibility into the device's status, including its overall health.
Note: Your view may vary depending on your account permissions and registered devices.
Cameras
Tapping "Cameras" within the "Devices" tab displays all registered cameras. Tap a camera thumbnail to open its video feed. Below the feed are seek points for various events and buttons for creating clips, searching specific dates and times, and accessing advanced search tools. To exit the feed, tap the back arrow in the upper-left corner.
Video Intercoms
The "Video Intercoms" page displays your registered video intercoms (DR40s). Tap a thumbnail to open the associated video feed.
When viewing a video intercom feed, you can unmute your microphone to communicate with someone on the other end and/or unlock the associated access control door(s). Activating your microphone does not prevent two-way communication. For optimal performance, AEC (Acoustic Echo Cancellation) should be enabled on the device. AEC is enabled by default on DR40 devices.
Doors
The "Doors" page displays all access control doors associated with your account. To unlock a specific door, tap the lock button on the main page. Selecting a door displays the video feed from the associated camera(s).
Audio Gateways
The "Audio Gateways" page displays your registered A100 devices. Selecting an audio gateway provides push-to-talk functionality, displays the assigned camera(s), allows camera assignments to be edited, and provides access to audio controls.
Door Sensors
The "Door Sensors" page displays your registered D20 sensors, each door's open or closed status, and a health overview for each sensor, including signal strength and battery life. Selecting a sensor displays the associated camera(s) and more detailed health information.
Environmental Sensors
The "Environmental Sensors" page displays all environmental sensors registered to your account. The main page provides a health overview, along with humidity and temperature readings for each sensor. Selecting a sensor displays the video feed from an associated camera and more detailed information about each reading.
Motion Sensors
The "Motion Sensors" page provides a brief overview of all motion sensors registered to your account. Selecting a sensor displays more detailed sensor information, including its serial number, firmware version, and time zone.
Buttons
The "Buttons" page provides a brief health overview of all B10 buttons registered to your account, including signal strength and battery life. Selecting a button displays a more detailed health overview, shows the assigned camera feed(s), and provides options to enable "Test Mode" or configure rules for the selected button.
Locations
The "Locations" page displays all locations where devices are registered to your account, along with a brief health overview of the associated devices. Selecting a location displays thumbnails for all cameras at that location and, if Lockdown Plans are enabled, provides the option to activate a lockdown. Selecting a camera thumbnail opens its video feed, as described in the "Cameras" section above.
When viewing a location, you can also select a different device type from the menu near the top of the screen or view additional user and location information.
Video Walls
The "Video Walls" tab displays all video walls in your account. Selecting a video wall displays the camera feeds assigned to it. When viewing a video wall, tapping the "Settings" icon in the upper-right corner allows you to edit the grid layout and certain video wall preferences. Video walls can only be created and edited in the Rhombus Web Console.
Note: Access to video walls and the cameras within them may vary based on your user account permissions.
Alerts
The "Alerts" tab displays all device alerts generated by previously created alert policies. Selecting an alert opens the video clip associated with it. Alerts can be shared as needed, with an optional expiration date and/or password.
