Overview
Camera Recording Settings allow admins to control when cameras record footage and how video is made available to users. Depending on your organization's security and privacy requirements, cameras can be configured to stream live video without recording, temporarily stop displaying or recording footage during specified time periods, or apply consistent recording settings across all cameras and locations. This article explains the available recording options and how to configure them to meet your organization's operational needs.
Console Setup
1. Log in to the Rhombus Console, navigate to "Settings," then click "Camera Recording Settings."
2. Choose whether to use custom settings for each location or camera, or apply the same settings across all locations and cameras.
Same Settings
1. To enable "Live Stream Only" on all locations and cameras, click the checkbox below "Live Stream Only."
2. To disable footage for all locations and cameras, click the checkbox below "Disable Footage," then select an existing schedule or create a new one.
3. Click "Save" in the upper-right corner when finished.
Custom Settings
1. To enable "Live Stream Only" for an entire location, click the checkbox below "Live Stream Only" next to the desired location. To customize this setting for individual devices, click the dropdown arrow next to a location, then click the checkbox next to each device.
2. To disable footage for an entire location, click the checkbox below "Disable Footage" next to the location name, then select an existing schedule or create a new one. To customize this setting for individual devices, click the dropdown arrow next to a location, select the "Disable Footage" checkbox next to a device, then select an existing schedule or create a new one.
3. Click "Save" in the upper-right corner when finished.
