Overview

The Settings & Details section provides device-specific information, configuration options, actions, and historical data. This article explains how to locate a device and review the information and settings available in the Rhombus Console and Mobile App.

Navigation

Web Console

Navigate to the "Devices" tab, then select a device. Scroll to the bottom of the device page to find the "Settings & Details" section on the left.

Mobile App

1. Open a camera from the "Devices" tab in the Rhombus Console Mobile App.

2. Tap the video player to display the on-screen controls, then tap the "Settings" icon in the upper-right corner to view the settings and details for the device.

Device Settings & Details

In general, the information available in "Settings & Details" is similar across device types, though the layout and available options may vary. For non-camera devices, you can associate a camera feed in the "Settings & Details" section. The following examples are from a camera.

Manage Rules

Rules Engine rules can be configured for individual devices. To add or manage rules for the selected device, click "Manage Rules."

General Device Info

This section displays the device's serial number, MAC address, firmware, and storage information.

Maps

This section shows the device's location on the map and allows you to adjust its placement. You can also toggle between the standard map and heatmap views.

Device Details

This section provides additional device information, including the device name, location, assigned policy, and associated licenses and features. Users with the appropriate roles and permissions can edit this information.

Device Actions

This section contains available actions for the selected device, including adding or viewing a shared stream, rebooting the device, and unregistering the device. 

More Details Section

Click the "More Details" dropdown menu to view additional device information. If a firmware update is available, you can initiate the update from this menu. You can also select and view any previously created Secure Raw Streams.

Historical Data

The "Historical Data" tab displays key reports specific to the camera. Available reports may vary depending on the features enabled for the camera.

Alerts

The "Alerts" section displays all recent alerts for a device. You can view, delete, save a clip, or share alerts from a specific device on this page. Alerts are created when an alert policy is assigned to a camera. To learn more, visit the Creating and Assigning Alert Policies article. 

On Device Information

Each Rhombus device has a serial number, model type, and unique MAC address. These details can be found in the Rhombus Console and on the bottom of the physical device.
