Overview
The "badge face mismatch" feature combines Rhombus facial recognition with Rhombus access control as a way to enhance identity verification when a user badges in at a location. This article covers the basic setup for this feature.
Console Setup

1. Ensure the name of the user assigned the badge is the same under "Manage" for Rhombus Faces. To verify the console badge name: Navigate to "Settings," and select "Manage Users" to view the names being used and associated with a badge credential. Names can also be found on the "Access Control Credentials" page to see which users have been assigned a credential. To verify the Faces name: Navigate to the "Investigations" page, click the "Faces" tab, and click "Manage." Find the user and verify this name is identical to the name associated with the badge credential.

2. To enable the badge face mismatch feature on a door, at least one camera must be associated with it. If associating more than one camera, you can select which camera to use for Faces on the door's page. To associate a camera and choose one for Faces, navigate to the "Doors" page and click the door you wish to configure.
Scroll down, click the "Details" tab, configure "Associated Cameras," and "Associated Face Detection Cameras."

| 3. For the camera selected for face detection, navigate to that camera's device page and ensure "Face Recognition" is enabled by selecting the settings cog beside "Licenses and Features." |

4. Add "Badge Face Mismatch" to the door policy and create a schedule for these events. For more information on policies, see our article on Creating and Assigning Alert Policies. |

| 5. Enable "Badge Face Mismatch" for the door's event timeline by navigating to the door's device page, selecting "Manage Event Types," and clicking the checkbox beside "Badge Face Mismatch." |

6. You can create an alert notification schedule for specific users by clicking "Access Control Doors" and adding "Badge Face Mismatch" to the user's notification schedule. For more information on notifications, see our article on User-Based Alert Notifications. |
