Overview
The Rhombus Key app (for iOS or Android) is the app associated with Rhombus Access Control. This app gives users access to "Wave to Unlock," "Remote Unlock," and other Access Control features.

Add a User to the Rhombus Key App
- Magic Link - Allows users to authenticate via a link sent to their email address; the link must be accessed from the phone that has the Rhombus Key App installed.
- SAML/SSO - Enabled in Settings > Single Sign-On; allows users to authenticate with their existing identify provider (e.g., Okta).
Add a New User
| 1. Navigate to "Settings," and click "Manage Users." |

| 2. Click "Add User" in the upper left corner. |
|
|
|
3. Enter the user's name and email, enable the desired "Access Control" option(s) for the user, and click "Next."

4. Select a Group to add the user to, and click "Next." We recommend users be added to a group. This allows them to be automatically added to any access control grants that include that group. See Creating a Group of Users for Access Control for more information. |

| 5a. If "Access Control - via Card" was selected in step 3, select the card type, enter the card serial number, and click "Next." |

5b. If "Access Control - via PIN" was selected in step 3, enter or auto-generate a PIN. If desired, you can choose to send the PIN via email to the user, and/or set credential start and end dates. Note: PINs can be set up to 16 digits by clicking the drop down menu beside "PIN." |

| 5c. If "Access Control - via mobile app" was selected in step 3, enable the desired settings for this user, and click "Create." |
Update an Existing User
Existing console users can be updated to include access control. Once a Rhombus administrator has updated their user profile in the console, they will need to complete the following steps to finish setting up the account:
- Download the Rhombus Key App to their mobile device.
- Log into the Key App by requesting a magic link after submitting their email address or using their existing password for their main Rhombus account.
| 1. Navigate to "Settings," and click "Manage Users." |

| 2. Select the user to which you wish to add access control credentials. Click the "Access Control" tab and ensure "Credentials" is highlighted in the upper left corner. |

3. If using the Rhombus Key App, enable the "Allow authentication via Rhombus Key app" toggle. "Allow remote unlock via Rhombus Key app" and "Bypass SAML when signing into Rhombus Key app" are both optional toggles. | 4. If adding a physical card credential for a user, select "Add Credential." For more information on adding a key card credential, see our article on Registering a Key Card. |
Add Multiple New Users
| 1. Navigate to "Settings," and click "Manage Users." |

| 2. Click "Add Multiple Users." |
|

3. Select the CSV file containing the user's data and click "Upload." Download the template to assist with the creation of the CSV file. The download will contain all necessary headers along with some example data to show how to fill in each field. Ensure you remove the sample data prior to the final upload.
