Overview

The Investigations page in the Rhombus Console brings together tools for reviewing footage, searching events, and investigating activity across your organization. From visualizing devices on a map and reviewing footage from multiple cameras to using AI-powered search, facial recognition, and license plate recognition, these tools help you quickly locate and analyze relevant events. This article provides an overview of the investigation tools available in the Rhombus Web Console and how they can be used to find and review security events.

AI Search

AI Search uses OpenAI to search existing Human Movement and Vehicle Movement events for footage that closely matches your search prompt. Example search prompts include "white truck," "yellow school bus," and "red jacket."

Note: AI Search is an Enterprise feature that must be enabled individually for each camera on which you want to use it. This feature operates independently and does not use data from Facial Recognition or License Plate Recognition in your console.

Footage

The Footage tab within Investigations allows you to view footage from multiple devices simultaneously. Select the devices you want to display in the camera viewer.

Note: The timeline below the camera viewer displays events from all selected devices. You can use the timeline to navigate to a specific date and time or create a clip containing footage from all selected cameras.

Faces

Rhombus Facial Recognition helps organizations identify and search for individuals captured by supported cameras using AI-powered face matching.

License Plates

Rhombus License Plate Recognition (LPR) detects, indexes, and searches license plates captured by supported cameras, helping you investigate vehicle activity and receive alerts for vehicles of interest.
