Overview
Cloud-Archived footage can be retained after a camera is unregistered if the appropriate archiving settings are enabled beforehand. This article explains how to preserve Cloud-Archived footage when unregistering a camera and how to access the footage until its original expiration date.
Retain Cloud Footage
To retain cloud footage, Cloud Archiving must be enabled on the camera through an Enterprise license before the camera is unregistered.
For more information about camera features and licensing, see the Console Features & Licensing article.
To retain Cloud-Archived footage:
1. Confirm that the included or "Additional Cloud Archiving" feature is enabled on the camera.
2. Contact Rhombus Support to enable the archive option for your organization.
3. After Rhombus Support confirms that archiving is enabled, select the "Archive this camera" checkbox when unregistering the camera.
Note: Archived footage uses the Enterprise license assigned to the device at the time it is archived. To maintain access to the footage, do not delete the license until the archived footage has expired.
Access Archived Footage
After unregistering the device, you can access the stored footage in the Rhombus Console for the configured Cloud Archiving duration (30, 60, or 90 days). Although the camera is unregistered, it remains available in the "Devices" tab. Select the device, then scrub through the timeline to view the archived footage.
Once the archived footage has expired, remove the assigned license and notify your Rhombus sales representative.
