Floor Plans
Floor plans are located in the "Locations" tab of the Rhombus Console. After you have registered all your Rhombus devices, you can upload a floor plan to help visualize where your devices are physically located.
This step is also critical if you are using T1 asset tags as they rely on the placement of the cameras on the map to calculate their position.
Note: There are no size restrictions and the supported formats for uploads are: bmp, jpg, png, and gif.
Upload a Floor Plan
| 1. Navigate to the "Locations" tab, select a location, click the "Edit Devices/Floorplans" button in the upper right corner, and click the "Add/Edit Floor Plans" button. |
|
|
| 2. Click "Upload New Floor Plan." Doing so will bring up a modal that prompts you to upload your own floor plan. |
|
|
| 3. Enter a name for the floor, set a floor number, click the "Browse" button to locate the floor plan file on your computer, then click "Upload." |
Note: Once the floor plan is uploaded, it will need to be positioned on the map.
Repositioning Rhombus Devices
When viewing a floor plan, you can click and drag devices to change their placement on the floor plan. Click "Save" in the upper-right corner when finished editing the device placement.
Note: Clicking and dragging the blue FoV beam lets you edit the direction the camera is facing on the floor plan.
