In general, Rhombus cameras will support any wireless network and protocol that your access points support.
If you are using the Rhombus Wi-Fi adapter that is compatible with the R2 and R1 cameras, then below are the Wi-Fi requirements for that adapter.
- The network must have 2.4GHz enabled
- 802.11 b/g
- The cameras do not support the 5GHz band
- The network must support one of the following authentication protocols
- WPA2 Personal
- WPA2-PSK (AES)
- WPA2-PSK (TKIP)
- WEP
- Please contact support if you are using an unsupported authentication protocol as new ones are in development including RADIUS authentication
- WPA2 Personal
- The network does not use a captive portal
