Overview

Batch Actions allow you to adjust a device location or camera settings across multiple devices simultaneously. With this feature, you can select as many cameras as you wish from the "Devices" page and change their registered location or alter their camera settings.

Navigating the Console

1. Log in to the Rhombus Console and navigate to the "Devices" tab.

2. To access Batch Actions from the "Devices" page, start by clicking the checkboxes to the left of the cameras you wish to edit.

3. Once the devices have been selected, click the "Actions" button to either assign all the selected devices to a location, or manage their camera settings.

Assign to Location

The "Assign to Location" sub-feature allows you to batch assign the selected devices to the same location. After clicking the "Assign to Location" button, choose a location from the drop down menu, and click "Assign."

Manage Camera Settings

The "Manage Camera Settings" button will open a modal that displays the different camera models across the top in tabs. Since certain model cameras will have unique camera settings, you can alter their setting by model type. 

Make changes to a setting by choosing an option in its corresponding dropdown menu or entering a value between the listed ranges beside a setting. Click "Save All Changes" when finished.

Other Ways to Batch Assign

Camera settings can also be batch assigned via the camera viewer.

Note: This method of batch assigning only allows you to edit camera settings from cameras of the same model.

1. Navigate to the "Devices" page, and select a camera.

2. Hover over the menu button in the upper-right corner of the camera viewer, click the settings icon, and select either "Image Settings" or "Camera Settings."

3. Click "Edit Multiple Cameras" at the bottom of the settings list.

4. In the pop-up window, select cameras of the same model from the dropdown menu, and click "Save."

5. Once the cameras are selected a green banner will display in the settings list. Making edits with this banner across the top will adjust the settings on the previously selected cameras.
