Overview
Rhombus TV is an app that can be used on an Apple TV that allows you to view specific video walls without requiring a console login.
Prerequisites
Recommended Apple TV Specifications
- We recommend using the Apple TV 4K (3rd Generation) with an ethernet port for LAN connection.
- Older versions of Apple TV can be used, but will be restricted to viewing a maximum of 20 cameras at one time.
- Apple TV 4K 2nd Generation can display a maximum of 30 cameras at one time in 640 x 480 resolution.
Note: If your Apple TV is connected to the HDMI ARC port on your TV/Monitor, the Apple TV will shut down if the TV/Monitor is powered off. To ensure your Apple TV stays powered on when your TV/Monitor is powered off, use an alternative HDMI port on your TV/Monitor or disable the HDMI-CEC setting on your TV/Monitor.
Video Wall Setup
When creating a video wall, the "Visible to Others" option must be enabled. If this setting is not toggled on a video wall, the Apple TV will not be able to view it.

Activate the Rhombus TV App
| 1. Download the "Rhombus TV" app from the Apple TV app store. |
| 2. Launch the Rhombus TV app from the home screen. |
| 3. On its initial launch, a code will be displayed. Record this code as it is required to activate your Apple TV. |
| 4. Log into the Rhombus Console, navigate to "Settings," and click "Apple TV Settings." |
| 5. Click "Activate TV App" in the upper-right corner. |
| 6. In the pop-up window, name your Apple TV, enter the token recorded in step 3, assign a role to the Apple TV, and click "Submit." |
| Note: The assigned role determines what devices and video walls are accessible via the Apple TV. Once a role is assigned to the Apple TV, it cannot be changed and will need to be deleted and reactivated to do so. |
App Walkthrough
Home Screen
| The Home Screen displays all visible video walls from your Rhombus Console. Select a video wall to open it and view its live feed. |
| When viewing a video wall on the Rhombus TV app, individual camera feeds can be selected to enable a full screen view. |
| For R360 fisheye cameras, you can pan around and rotate the view if it has been set to a side-mounted orientation or ceiling orientation and is set to the immersive view in console. |
| If your organization has many video walls, the "Search" tab can be used to filter for a specific wall. |
Settings
The "Settings" tab provides access to preferences that are applied to all video walls viewed from the Rhombus TV app.
