What is Region Search
Region Search is a powerful investigation tool. With it, you can review video footage matching specific events that occurred in a specific area of the camera view.
For example, if a laptop was stolen from a desk and you wanted to see when that occurred and review the footage. Instead of going through hours of footage manually, you can use region search to show you a list of motion events detected in the specified region.
Using Region Search

1. Select the camera you want to perform the search on and click the search icon at the bottom. |
| 2. Select the region you want to search within by clicking and dragging on the grid. |
| 3. Select the time range you want to use for your search. |
| 3. Select the types of events you want to include in your region search. |
| 4. In the left, select the thumbnail to go directly to the video footage for that event. |
| To exit, select the X in the upper right of the region search screen. |
