Connecting Rhombus Cameras with Ramen Wireless

Ramen provides Zero-Trust Network Access, end-to-end encryption and authentication, and easy integration with the enterprise network security architecture. It supports CBRS, Wi-Fi, and other radio technologies. Setting up your cameras to work with Ramen is straightforward and can use your existing network infrastructure or cellular service provider.

Ramen Access Point (AP) Setup

Cellular

Connecting the camera over a private or public cellular link is a viable option when internet service is limited. This requires adding an adaptor that brings the cellular connectivity to an Ethernet port that will connect to the camera. It also requires a SIM to enable a secure authenticated connection. Ramen can provide adaptors, SIMs, and management visibility for this cellular option.

Point to Point link (PtP)

If there is a line of sight between the camera and the network attachment location, PtP is a viable option. This is ideal for connecting only a handful of remote sites. This solution offers high throughput to accommodate high-quality video and simultaneous operation of multiple cameras. In this scenario, your Ramen AP can be connected directly to a network POE switch for power and data.

Wiring a Ramen Receiver to a Rhombus Camera

For this configuration, plug an ethernet cable into the back of the Rhombus camera and the opposite end into the Ramen Inc. provided cellular adapter kit. The Ramen adapter will provide the data connection and power source for the camera.
